For A Name In The Sky

May 27, 2005

For a name in the sky

A breath overheard

In the coursing of the wind

Oh, for this would I be near

To you.

In the forest, under the stars

Where the dewdrops are still

Waiting til daylight’s first note

Of feathery warm lightsong

To you.

Heiress to the seat

Under a diamond mountain

Where goldflecked waters wait

For your fair fingers

To stir them into visions

Of hearthfires and heartlings flitting

To you

And me.
