Colors Upon Colors

May 27, 2005

We breached a passion

Not of the physic

With its flush of power and fire

Air pressing bodies together

With the speed of flying dragons

But a passion of gemlike facets

Facets that pulsed, mounting as water before a dam

The raw strength of the earth’s vast patience

Awaiting the final moment of its release,

We joined our souls

Without the touch of flesh

And when finally the flames caught us

Even our bodies ended lashed into the fire

Then did we find the explosions

The colors upon colors

Winds rushing through the caverns

Bearing with them raindrops which splashed

To ignite the stone with mystic rings of stars.
